A very competitive renewal of the Flying Childers and the tentative nod goes to Fleeting Spirit who had Captain Gerrard behind her when winning the Molecomb and off the same weights, she is fancied to confirm those placings. The selection comes here on the back of a close-up third in the Lowther however now back to the minimum trip, she looks sure to give punters another big run. She had previously finished in front of subsequent Nunthorpe winner Kingsgate Native and can return to winning ways here. Captain Gerrard seems to have improved since as he was impressive when winning at York and 'quietly' fancied by his stable, a big run looks imminent. Dark Angel also won at York recently but that form doesn't appear quite as solid, so of more interest may be Proud Linus who ran a cracker on debut behind Captain Gerrard and is open to plenty of improvement. Spirit Of Sharjah has his first run for Peter Chapple-Hyam today since joining from Julie Fielden's stable and has claims although he hasn't appeared to go forward since a Goodwood Listed win. At a price Irish raider The Loan Express could go well, however he is held by Warsaw on their running in May. The last-named warrants plenty of respect now dropped a couple of furlongs in trip, however Fleeting Spirit gets the vote to return to winning ways.
