Hototo, winner of the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes over 5f at Ascot in June, is clearly very tough and bounced back to winning ways in a similarly valuable sales race over 6f at York last month. He has another half-furlong to cover on this stiffer course, however, which may just find him out and we fancy the less-exposed FLYMAN to have his measure. Richard Fahey is particularly sweet on the chances of his unbeaten York and Nottingham winner who has a nice turn of foot and, being by Pastoral Pursuits, should stay the extra. Lyric Ace is potentially the best of Richard Hannon's trio but didn't appear to stay 6f at Ripon last time and more interesting is the filly The Gold Cheongsam, on a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at Newmarket. Parliament Square also goes on the short-list as he ran a cracker when third to Reckless Abandon in the Prix Morny at Deauville, though the blinkers he wore in France are replaced by his usual cheekpieces here and he is conceding weight all round. Haafaguinea should win more races and looks the pick of the remainder.
