As in the first division, Richard Guest has three entries but none of the trio makes much appeal on recent form. Dhhamaan is going well, however, and will make a bold bid to complete his hat-trick as he seems oblivious to ground conditions. But the six-year-old has to give 13lb to ABACIST, who has to be the selection. Ralph Beckett's three-year-old is still lightly-raced and the fact that he only won by a short-head at Chepstow means the handicapper hasn't yet to grips with the gelding. Alensgrove is a one-paced maiden and Flying Applause has gone off the boil while none of the others have shown enough to suggest they can get involved in the finish.
