Fathom Five has been knocking on the door for most of the season and ran another fine race when third at Goodwood. He gets little respite from the handicapper, however, and may be better on fast ground. The stable also run Crimea and Cadeaux Pearl, who probably isn't badly treated on her best form, while Tim Easterby is also triple-handed with Lost In Paris arguably the pick. Noodles Blue Boy will relish the likely fast pace and the likes of Whozthecat, Your Gifted and Ginger Ted are running well enough to take a hand, while Foxy Music is a speedy sort and better than he showed at Catterick last time. SECRET WITNESS has struggled off higher marks this year but looked to be on the way back at Windsor last time and loves the hustle and bustle of these big-field handicaps - he gets the nod.
