Mobashr ended a long losing run when scoring over track and trip though Riot was badly hampered in the same race. Surprise Picture has been winning lower grade contests and has recently switched yards while Alethiometer was upped in class last time after winning at Ayr. Soft going may have been a legitimate excuse for Cliffcake finding one too good at Thirk while QUEST FOR FUN has faced tougher tasks at York in a couple of starts since joining Tim Easterby. But the latter landed a double last summer and could go close at this lower level now back on a winning mark.
