Verdict

Both Denis Anthony and Dovena seemed to score with a little to spare last time and both are proven over trip and ground. Both now move up a level to Class 5 and there seems no reason why they will not remain competitive with fractional preference for the Fanshawe inmate. However, there is an interesting, unexposed rival who may prove too good in ALHAMBRA PALACE (NAP). He's only had four starts and has taken time to find his feet but was only beaten half a length last time when upped to 1m2f in a race in which he did not enjoy a clear passage. This smaller field and a first start at a mile and a half should prove ideal. Hurtle's consistency should see him on the premises once again, along with Fox Flame in what is an interesting opener to the card.
