A small but competitive field go to post for this handicap chase. Robbo has been running well over hurdles of late, he is not as well handicapped over fences but he still looks capable of winning this race under his optimum conditions. Raffles Rooster was a good second behind Tonoco at Haydock last time and a reproduction of that form would see him go close. However he always travels well but does not find much off the bridle. Interdit i also worthy of consideration but he has been running as if in the handicappers grip of late and his best form is on firm ground. Shuttleworth was a good second behind El Cordobes at Market Rasen last time out. The gelding was doing all his best work at the finish on that occasion and the step back up to three miles should suit. Waterberg would have a chance on his best form but he jumped badly on his return this season and he will need to improve in that department if he is to score. The remainder need to improve on there latest form to score.
