Last years winning connections are represented by Bishops Court, who is more than useful when things go his way. He is well drawn here and looks sure to go well. The admirably tough and consistent Needwood Blade has yet to win over the minmum trip and will need an end to end gallop, to bring his stamina into play, while the speedy Vita Spericolata will be more at home over this trip, rather than the six-furlongs she has been racing over lately. A chance is taken with the three-year-old Saddad, who impressed over course and distance last year when winning the Group 2 Flying Childers. He hasn't been seen since, but he clearly goes well fresh and he could prove to be a class above his rivals.
