In depth

Verdict

A mile winner on the flat Arms Acrossthesea may struggle to get the trip over hurdles, while Londolozi Lad was still going well enough when coming to grief at Stratford on his debut. He is sure to have his followers, especially with the champion on board, but the one to be with is Risker, who had shown enough before departing at Newton Abbot, to suggest he can make his mark at this game. The softened ground that day counted against the Philip Hobbs runner and with the ground dring out here, conditions will be more to his liking.
