Verdict
Shadow Hunter beat Kurland and favourite Ornate in a Listed race at York last month but the latter was conceding 5lb that day and can come out on top this time. Bear Cheek beat Independence Day in a Group 3 at the Curragh and can confirm that form, despite worse terms, though his stable is struggling for winners at present. GUTAIFAN led until approaching the final furlong in the Prix Morny at Deauville last time. He had the pace to win over 5f at Chester earlier this year and looks the one to beat here having finished ahead of Windsor Castle runner-up Areen when successful in a Group 2 at Maisons-Lafitte in July. Stablemate Log Out Island is also very speedy and could make the frame.
