Jamie Spencer is taken to get his timing right on CAT JUNIOR. The colt has run well in two Group assignments recently but he can leave his running til too late which is a slight worry. Arabian Gleam won this in 2007 and 2008 and having been a close third last year he will have been aimed at this race for a while, something borne out by his two runs this year. Last-year's winner Duff is back on the scene and the step back up in trip is in his favour, whilst Shakespearean got an easy lead when winning the Hungerford Stakes and may have been flattered. Rainfall has missed several top-class engagements of late and this strong-travelling filly looks a fascinating contender, along with the classy miler Premio Loco who will be hoping that the rain stays away as he looks to build on a fine third to Canford Cliffs in the Sussex Stakes. Also of interest is Ouqba whose placed form, including in Group One company behind Paco Boy, looks rock solid.
