It can be worth chancing a small investment in Sweet Lime now that she steps into a handicap for the first time, as she has nowhere to hide off a mark of 80. Top weight Yankee George has a bit to find with the selection on a line through Silent Times, so a bigger threat may be posed by the unexposed Creative Mind and Violet Ballerina. The last named won an ordinary race at Brighton at the start of August - showing grim determination as she was all at sea on the undulating course. The daughter of Namid has more on her plate here but, as he debut form is working out well, she has to be respected here. Creative Mind may have come into the race with an unbeaten record had her jockey not lost his whip during her Carlisle debut. She put the record straight at Catterick when she was last seen out and comes here fresh for the autumn campaign. The market will give us a good gauge as to how ready she is for this afternoon's contest. But it will be interesting to see if she heads for the Challenge Trophy at Yarmouth next Tuesday. However, Sweet Lime appeals on the grounds of value for the time being. The best has yet to be seen of this son of Danehill Dancer and he should not be underestimated today.
