Mutamarres is likely to be at short odds for the opener and is hard to oppose in a race where the main dangers look to be Collateral Damage and Crosby Vision. The last mentioned showed promise on his Pontefract debut but needs to improve on that evidence and a bigger threat is likely to come from Collateral Damage. Tim Easterby's two-year-olds normally improve with racing and this son of Orpen looks to be no exception having stepped up on debut form when a close fourth in a decent maiden at Haydock last time. Sir Mark Prescott's Warsaw Pact should come on for his first start at Lingfield but would probably want further, while Jamie Osborne's Rock Of Cloonavery makes only limited appeal on his debut. The vote then goes to Mutamarres, who has run two solid races over this trip so far and probably only needs to reproduce previous form to land this.
