A cracking renewal can go to Elliots World, who just gets the nod over Iceman and Etlaala, who spearhead the challenge our of the rest. That is not to say that the likes of Oude, Kings Quay and Wilko do not arrive here with seriously diminished chances and support for any could be forthcoming if those likely to be put in at the head of the market are available at very cramped odds. Grand Marque is another to bear in mind on that score, as he has done little wrong and already has some valuable experience of racing at this trip. Ryan Moore has been riding out of his skin lately and it will not be the biggest surprise of the season if Richard Hannon were to bring this off with his supposed second string. However, Elliot's World, who stepped up on his debut with a gutsy victory at York last month, has all the correct attributes to bring to the table here. He has no stamina queries to answer, will act on the ground and is best suited by the flat, galloping surface he will encounter here. All these factors will aid his cause as he bids to overhaul Coventry Stakes winner Iceman, who may need a stiffer finish to be seen at his best.
