A furiously competitive contest that can go to Breaking Shadow, who is selected in preference to Sant Jordi and Wigwam Willie, who are just two of the rest that are going the right way and are open to stacks of improvement. The same can be said for a number of the rest and, but for time constraints, the list of alternative could go on and on. A brief synopsis of a few others to watch out for in the betting includes: Dancing Rose, who improved significantly to get off the mark last time and looks well worth a try at this trip. Misperon has come up against some useful opponents since she won at Pontefract and, as one of the more experienced fillies in the field, could be dangerous to ignore despite a seemingly unfavorable draw. Whereas Musico has been steadily getting the hang of things and will have the option of tracking either side from near the middle of the stalls. Sant Jordi rewarded the support he received before his latest start when scoring at Windsor last month - an effort that looks good as the first two pulled clear of some well regarded types. He has experience of six furlongs and will be very hard to keep out of the frame if he hits the gates running this afternoon. Wigwam Willie represents a much respected trainer/jockey partnership and will no doubt come in for support for that reason alone. His latest start was a much improved performance and he could also go close if he handles the ground. However, he does have form to reverse with Breaking Shadow to overcome and, even though he is 2lb better off for just over a couple of lengths, Richard Fahey's charge still looks to hold the upper hand at this stage.
