In depth

Verdict

Heavy going may have been to blame for Runasimi River’s poor effort last time at Exeter but Cailin Dearg appears to be a Sedgefield specialist and was engaged at that track yesterday. CUP OF COFFEE (NAP) beat the useful Rainyday Woman at Ludlow in the autumn and a return to quicker going can see her pick up the winning thread again. She wasn’t helped at Newbury last time by an early blunder. Moonamacaroona has been disappointing so far over hurdles given her form in bumpers but Progressive has won over 2m here and at Chepstow, though the step up in trip is a slight concern.
