Connections of Viva Vettori have endured a frustrating season but the seven-year-old wasn't disgraced when put back over this trip at Newmarket last month. Mirrored won over C&D in April and ran his best race since when second at Ripon last time, while Kenyan Cat has been in good form this summer. But three-year-olds have dominated this classified stakes down the years and this season should prove no exception. Beaten Up hasn't raced since making a winning debut at April and the form hasn't been franked, but Art History has to go on the short-list having come back to form on the Polytrack last week while Mashaaref ran well when second at Ascot in July. King Kurt is entitled to respect but we'll give another chance to DUMBARTON. Something was clearly amiss when he finished tailed off when favourite at Newbury on his latest start as he'd been very impressive at Windsor earlier and his breeding suggests he will improve with experience.
