Verdict

Despite being easy to back, Mizwaaj showed up well for a long way on his debut in a competitive maiden at York and looks a sure-fire future winner. It would be no surprise to see him go close in this higher grade but EKTIHAAM is probably the one to beat. Roger Varian's colt missed the break and pulled hard on his debut at Newbury in July but still came through strongly to get the better of a host of subsequent winners and entries in all of autumn's big juvenile races suggest he's held in high regard. Hot Sugar improved on his debut success to finish second at Ripon next time but, along with Salisbury winner Frog Hollow, looks to be facing a stiff task in this while easy Bath winner Waseem Faris finished last at Lingfield on his only subsequent outing.
