    Verdict

It's difficult to believe that STRATH BURN is still a maiden but that should be rectified today. He was actually first past the post on his debut at Newbury last year but lost the race in the stewards' room. Placed subsequently in the Prix Robert Papin and the Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot, he arrives here off the back of a third in a Listed race at York and is impossible to oppose. Daydream Believer will need to very useful to get the favourite out of second gear on debut with Tap Shoes looking best of the rest having shown early pace when fifth at Windsor.
