Captain Hurricane, Dance Night, Caesar Beware and Don Pele look to be the principles in another fascinating contest and the narrow vote is given to Captain Hurricane. The selection was slowly away but stayed on well to finish fourth behind Divine Proportions on very soft ground at Deauville last time. That was a decent effort as this colt did not appreciate the testing ground, so with conditions more to suit here and a good draw he should take plenty of beating. Dance Night won well last time out at York on soft ground when beating Moscow Music over 5 furlongs. The step up in trip here is not sure to suit, nor is the faster surface and from a low draw he looks worth taking on. Caesar Beware is stepped up in class after winning well on both of his starts to date. He is held in the highest regard by his trainer Henry Candy and he could be anything, so from a fair draw he has to enter calculations. Don Pele has already been beaten by Caesar Beware but has improved since that run and picked up a Listed race at Newbury last time when beating Black Velvet. However, he has got a dreadful draw here and for that reason he can't be backed with any confidence. Claret and Amber is improving all the time and is from a yard in form so could have place claims, but in what looks to be a potentially very hot contest we will side with Captain Hurricane as the one to beat.
