There have been easier 'getting-out stakes' but it should be a good spectacle and a great experience for the apprentices. Gifted Ruler is deserving of topweight on the best of his form but this is a tough burden in the forecast ground. Ugo Gregory and Mossbawn were first and third in a competitive soft-ground handicap at York last month, since when the latter has scored decisively over course and distance. It's hard to separate this in-form pair and both warrant close attention. Thrave is interesting at the foot of the weights but GIVE IT SOME TEDDY is on a fair mark and his ability to stay further than this may prove valuable under the forecast conditions. Broken Spear and Internationaldream could also play a part.
