MODEYRA is unbeaten in two starts with her most recent success coming in a Listed race at Newmarket last month. The form from that race looks solid. The second in that contest, Timepiece who had previously won the Sandringham Handicap at Ascot in June, has subsequently won in Listed company. Therefore we side with the Saeed Bin Suroor option who has previously won at the course. Les Fazzani won this race two years ago and Paul Hanagan should get the best out of her, although she may prefer a mile and a half these days. Saphira's Fire is highly rated having won the Pretty Polly as a three-year-old but she hasn't won since and is opposable. Pink Symphony wasn't far behind Holberg when she was last seen and there may be more to come from this filly but a bigger danger could be Middle Club who was third behind Modeyra most recently. She won a Group 3 as a juvenile in France and Richard Hughes rode the winner of this race last year. However, our vote goes to Modeyra to continue her winning sequence.
