Demot Weld has been unable to find a race for Catalpa Sail, whose best form has been shown on this track. He had no chance in a Group 3 last time but his earlier second to The Reaper here was a fair effort. However, in fifth place that day and doing all her best work in the closing stages was TIMELESS CALL, who is related to numerous winners and should have come on enough for the experience to take this. Master Melody looked a decent sort early in the season but had a very long break before returning with a moderate run at Fairyhouse in September. Girl Guide made a reasonable debut behind Petronius Maximus at the Curragh and with normal improvement likely, can make her presence felt.
