The going was heavy when Withernsea won this last year off an 8lb lower mark, though he warmed up nicely for a repeat with a good second at Leopardstown. However, Richard Fahey also runs the useful Right Touch and George Bowen – the latter was noted staying on strongly over 6f here last time when he didn't really get the run of the race. Bertiewhittle ended a long losing run recently at York but has never won off a mark this high so the three-year-old Albernathy is more interesting following his second at Ascot. God Willing was second over a mile at Leicester last month and Oh This Is Us ran well for third at Lingfield while Boy In The Bar and London Protocol are others to consider. But DINKUM DIAMOND gets a final chance to take advantage of a lowly mark as he's been running well over a mile. His last win came over this trip and he had enough speed to win a Listed race over 6f here in 2014.
