Erik The Red bids for back-to-back victories in this but is 5lb higher and hasn’t raced since September last year. GULF OF POETS has had a break since failing to complete a hat-trick at Wetherby in May but didn’t get much luck in-running that day. All of his runs this year have been over a mile but he has won over this longer trip and is obviously much improved. Aasheq has not run a bad race since joining Tim Easterby and, though still edging up the weights, should be bang there at the finish. Carbon Dating won off a higher mark last year so the Irish raider is respected as well as Windsor third Another Eclipse, who has had a light campaign along with To Dibba.
