        Verdict

        A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the main protagonists look to be Dispol Katie,Mecca's Mate and Lets Get It On and the tentative vote is given to Mecca's Mate. The selection finished in mid-division in a much better race behind Mr Malarkey last time out. This faster surface looks sure to suit and off what looks a hand mark and from a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair. Dispol Katie rates the main danger as she won well last time out when beating Witchelle. That form has since been franked but her best efforts have come over seven furlongs and at likely odds over this shorter distance she looks worth taking on. Lets Get It On is another worthy of respect on his latest fifth behind Andantino. His stable are now emerging from a quiet spell and he should be noted in the market. True Magic has dropped to a handy mark and ran as if he was about to hit form when second behind Whinhill House last time out he runs off the same mark here but has been done no favours by the drabs and he is passed over for that reason. Of the remainder Set Alight has been in fair form on the AW of late and returns to turf on a fair mark and is another with place claims but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Mecca's Mate.
