Turnkey has always shown his best form with plenty of cut in the ground as he showed again when successful at Pontefract last month and, having been raised just 3lbs for that success, the David Nicholls-trained gelding gets the vote to follow up ahead of Swinbrook and Nobilissima. The last mentioned was also successful last time, when narrowly landing a contest at Leicester and John Spearing's filly has every chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Alan McCabe's Cornus is closely matched with Nobilissima on Leicester running and there should not be much between the two on their running that day. Distinctly Game has a bit to find with the selection on Pontefract form, while Joseph Henry may prefer a faster surface and of more interest may be Swinbrook. Richard Fahey's gelding is closely matched with Nobilissima on Leicester running and should be thereabouts but for the vote we side with the soft ground loving Turnkey.
