Verdict

Castle Harbour cost 200,000gns as a yearling and any strong support in the betting would suggest he has shown some ability on the gallops. General Alexander has a handicap mark of 78 but was a long way behind the winner when runner-up in a tougher maiden race over track and trip in October while Maddys Dream was placed over 6f at Windsor on her debut back in July. PHILADELPHIA failed to land the odds on his reappearance at Wolverhampton last month but a winner has come out of the race subsequently and Roger Varian's charge should make a bolder bid in this.
