In depth

Verdict

Proschema romped home at Haydock earlier when well ahead of Lisheen Castle but was raised 15lb and struggled in the Chester Vase last time. Austrian School has the beating of Jeremiah as he bids for a four-timer and has a further 8lb hike to contend with but stablemate Lynwood Gold drops in class and can figure if staying the extra distance. Candidate faces a tougher task having won in soft ground over 1m4f here while Blazing Saddles won a novices event at Thirsk and goes handicapping for the first time along with URBINO (NAP). The latter finished runner-up in an Ascot maiden race last time and Sir Michael Stoute’s Queen’s Vase entry looks likely to improve for today’s longer trip.
