Outer Hebrides is the pick over Soba Jones, Tag Team and Blue Tomato. The combination of David Loder and Frankie Dettori in a claimer certainly catches the eye, and Outer Hebrides is sure to command plenty of support in the market. Twice a winner at Wolverhampton, the son of Efisio, a half-brother to Ardkinglass, has taken on better company than today's in between, and as he faded up the Leicester hill last time, will appreciate this flatter track, not to mention the drop to this lowly company. Soba Jones has raced keenly in the past and this is about his level, but with Johnny Murtagh booked, he is another to note. He holds Tag Team on latest Southwell form, but still has it to do and a bigger danger may be Blue Tomato who stayed on well at the finish when sixth to Polish Emperor at Wolverhampton. Paul Cole's charge was a useful juvenile and finished fifth in the Mill Reef, but has obviously had his share of problems and has not been impressive during a belated all-weather campaign. However, any market moves for him should be taken seriously, and as Dandy Nicholls won this last year, that comment applies to his four runners. The one to beat though is Outer Hebrides.
