In depth

Verdict

Bashiyr followed his Gowran maiden success with a fine victory over a strong field at Galway and is ideally suited by plenty of give. Bopedro made a successful debut for Jim Bolger at Cork after arriving from France and ran very well in a premier handicap at Leopardstown a fortnight ago so should make a bold bid to defy a big weight. Massa Lubrense, who was third at Cork, had run very well on his previous start here so has to be on the shortlist. The Game Of Life has only run at Dundalk but Risaalaat was impressive in a Listowel maiden and starts off in handicaps off a lowly mark. DARE TO FLARE possibly found an extended 1m1f just too far at Gowran but won well over this trip on soft ground at Killarney and Andrew Slattery can steer him to another success.
