Verdict

Although finishing last in the Group 1 Dubai Turf at Meydan, OPAL TIARA had been in superb form there earlier landing the Balanchine at this level on her previous start. She returned to Sandown for the bet365 Mile where she ran very well behind Sovereign Debt and this can prove within her capabilities. Turret Rocks won at this level as a juvenile and landed a Group 3 in battling style here a couple of weeks ago though that was over 1m2f which may be her trip nowadays. Creggs Pipes wasn't far behind in that latter event and this is more her trip though some rain would greatly enhance her prospects. Raymonda has only had four starts and ran very well behind Custom Cut on her reappearance after a long absence so she has a definite chance but James Fanshawe's raider Zest will need to improve on what she's shown to date.
