Blairmayne is 2-23 on this track and finished a close sixth in the race a year ago when GOODNIGHT GIRL (NAP) finished runner-up. The latter will be just 3lb higher but beat Lord Dudley here in August off level weights so looks certain to go well. Arnhem has never won on Turf but has been placed in some big-field handicaps and it’s only a matter of time before he wins one while Verhoyen has run some huge races here and any rain would enhance his claims. Head Mistress, a Listed winner at two, has more scope than most of these.
