Dermot Weld and John Oxx have won this five times between them in recent years and are strongly represented this time. Easy Mate goes for Weld and the four-year-old was having only his third start when succumbing to Spinning Wings over 1m6f at Listowel. Emrani has improved dramatically since stepped up to middle-distances and though both victories have come on polytrack he will be fancied to give Oxx his fourth success in the race. SAILORS WARN has come up against La Chassotte three times this season and been narrowly beaten each time. There is nothing wrong with his resolution and he deserves a change of fortune. Spelterini is making his handicap debut and this is his first start beyond a mile but he's the type to continue on the upgrade and it would be no surprise to see him in the shake-up. Pozyc landed a maiden hurdle at Gowran in April and is well enough handicapped here to be considered in another tough contest for punters.
