Verdict

Jamesie won this last year by a nose from GORDON LORD BYRON, who was conceding 7lb. The latter has done much better subsequently having easily beaten Balmont Mast in June to record his 12th victory and his first on this track so looks the safest option. Three-year-olds have a reasonable record in the race and both Toscanini and Letters Of Note, who fought out a finish at Naas, have claims, especially the former who was only just touched off by Mattmu in a Group 3 here a couple of weeks ago. Moviesta hasn't won for two years but has been competing at a very high level and would be a threat to all at his best.
