St Nicholas Abbey won this a year ago so today's winner will have something to live up to. Pluirin made a very promising debut behind Brushed Aside at Dundalk in March and though disappointing on her only subsequent start a couple of weeks later the soft ground may have been against her. Pinnk has been disappointing since her debut run behind Bethrah at Limerick so the vote goes to PHRASE, a half-sister to several high-class performers including Spanish Moon, who made a very encouraging debut behind Syann at Gowran recently. Bryanstown is related to several winning jumpers and will probably come into her own when tackling further.
