Fionnuar, a daughter of Teofilo out of a mare who has produced numerous winners, is an interesting newcomer but experience should prove the key in these conditions and SLIPPER ORCHID looks the one to be on. Mick Halford's filly did very well to finish third in what looked a strong maiden won by Encrypted Message at Fairyhouse on Sunday and that experience won't be lost on her. Meldina caught the eye when staying on late behind Shamora at Lepardstown and should be winning sooner rather than later but September Lily was a disappointment at Sligo and has yet to prove she stays this far. Diamond Daze has shown her best form over a mile so may find this too short.
