In depth

Verdict

Middlemarch was very green at Gowran and is certain to have benefited from the experience. ADMIRALTY PLACE (NAP) is unfortunate not to have lost his maiden tag by now having produced three excellent runs this spring, the latest when a close third in a Cork premier handicap a fortnight ago. He'll be very difficult to beat in that kind of form. Navagio has also been running well in handicaps though not at the level of the selection, and though Yester is 0-10 he's rarely been beaten far. Opulent is a likely improver from her run at Naas.
