Verdict

Waterville has been an odds-on beaten favourite in both starts to date, seemingly finding 1m4f beyond him at Leopardstown. Stable companion Samuel Pepys, by Galileo out of the brilliant Tiggy Wiggy, showed up well at Leopardstown and may have more scope. VELLNER attempted to make all over this trip at Cork and was only headed close home by the impressive Martinstown. That looked a strong maiden and he's taken to get off the mark. World Famous is related to numerous winners and will be better suited by this trip than the two races over a mile he had last summer while Vintage Fame is another likely improver.
