Verdict

Truthwillsetufree looked like landing some decent bets when striking the front over a furlong out at Leopardstown but found the 1m6f just too far. That was a good run and he should be in the shake-up. Waver is consistent and gained due reward when scoring comfortably at Dundalk in October but Placere has ben hit hard by the assessor for her victory here in September. Thomas Edison's last two runs have been at Cheltenham and he's had little experience on the Flat so it's TAGLIETELLE who gets the nod. Gordon Elliott's charge won a handicap at Newmarket for Andrew Balding last summer and provided new connections with their first prize money when he came home a very easy winner over hurdles at Downpatrick last month.
