Verdict

CHERRY BLOSSOM (NAP) was made favourite on debut in a Listed contest at Naas last month but compromised her chance a little at the start, subsequently coming home fourth of seven but only beaten a length and a quarter. She should come on a bundle for the experience and looks the one to beat in maiden company. Chicago Fireball contested the Group 3 Tyros Stakes last time but was beaten over seven lengths into third in a four-horse affair. He'd shown promise on his two previous starts and Johnny Murtagh now reaches for first-time blinkers on the Acclamation colt. He should prove competitive, along with Mr Saturday, not seen since late May when runner-up in a Curragh maiden. Chandigah and Heavenly Being are others to consider.
