The King hasn't won since his two-year-old days but has regularly been placed at a high level and made a very promising comeback behind The softer the ground the better and he has 9lb in hand on official ratings of Insignia Of Rank after the latter beat a big field of handicappers here a couple of weeks ago. Three-year-olds have a good record in the race and Aidan O'Brien runs two from the younger brigade. OLD GLORY, a debut winner at Naas in September, reappeared in the 2000 Guineas here and was by no means disgraced in mid-division. There's more to come from him and he looks better at this stage than Saturday's Navan maiden winner Pacific Ocean or Richard Hannon's handicapper Leroy Leroy.
