COMPASS HILL made his debut in a conditions race at Naas in August and connections wouldn't have been expecting to bump into anything as good as Lucida. He was only beaten just over a length and the winner has subsequently done brilliantly, scoring at Group 2 level and finishing runner-up in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. That sort of form would make him unbeatable here even though a long absence is a concern. I Will Excel has some very smart form on fast ground to his credit and didn't take to wearing blinkers at Dundalk last time. Fort Del Oro made her debut on very testing ground here last month and was beaten less than a length by Urbestchance. She'll improve for the run and the quicker going will aid her cause. Knockmaole Boy has run well in both starts on soft ground though over longer trips.
