Verdict

Judgement Day has proved himself a battler in winning on good going at Kilbeggan and Gowran and won't go down without a fight though he's up against a much more experienced rival here in Mill Quest. Gordon Elliott's charge, five times a winner over hurdles, has only won once over fences but has been placed on several occasions in tough handicaps. In receipt of 7lb, POLAR PRESENT may be good enough to beat the pair of them. She started joint favourite with Judgement Day when falling at Gowran and came up against a decent type when beaten 2l by Bargy Lady at Fairyhouse so gets the vote to gain her first success over fences. Prince Garyantle, an easy winner over hurdles at Punchestown in April, hasn't shown much to date over fences but looks best of the remaining trio.
