Verdict

COURT MAID beat a big field of bumpers at Galway and made a very promising start over timber at Listowel when chasing home Whatsafellatodo, who has since followed up at Galway. The third has also won subsequently so it will be a surprise if Tom Mullins' mare can't win this and go on to better things. Winning point-to-pointer Coillte Eile made her hurdling debut at Clonmel last month and didn't run badly before running in a Tipperary bumper but Glebe Girl has had 17 starts in bumpers and over timber without reaching the first two. Whatucallher has a decent jumping pedigree and her second in a Clonmel bumper should be a prelude to better things over obstacles.
