Verdict

Aunt Audrey, three times a winner on the Flat, dropped back to 2m to lose her maiden tag over timber at Clonmel where she came with a powerful late burst. This trip shouldn't pose a problem nor will it for Minx Tiara, who makes her handicap debut after impressing with a maiden success at Wexford. New tactics were tried with My Peggy at Wexford where she made most of the running to land a handicap over this trip. She's 7lb higher and should get into contention though the vote goes to SOMETHING SWEET. She finally gained reward for consistency at Clonmel and though 7lb higher can double her winning tally. Famous Day got no further than the second on her chasing debut at Thurles in November but her victory over a huge field of handicap hurdlers on fast ground at Navan in September would put her in the picture.
