In depth

Verdict

MAGNANIMOUS (NAP) couldn't handle Monaasib at the Curragh but that was no disgrace as the winner followed up then was beaten a short-head in a lucrative sales race at Naas. Amber Kite was beaten over 8 lengths in that latter event after landing a Gowran maiden where she had Anna Strada half-a-length behind. Star Image took advantage of heavy ground to land a Curragh nursery while Vocito also looked suited by testing conditions at Cork and looks on the upgrade. Montenotte makes his handicap debut but will need to raise his game.
