In depth

Verdict

Colour Sergeant keeps running into very smart performers and was only 2 lengths behind subsequent Group 2 winner Mac Swiney and the long odds-on Wembley at the Curragh in July. He had almost 6 lengths to spare over Snowy Owl that day and the latter beat Exuma a short-head at Killarney last month. ACE AUSSIE made a very encouraging debut behind Hudson River at the Curragh in June when Wembley was a nose back in third. Collateral form gives Jessica Harrington's charge a real chance of going one better here. Mexico City should improve for stepping up in trip while Baseman and Salvucci are newcomers to note.
