Verdict

Jessica Harrington won this a year ago and the superbly-bred Galileo filly Foniska is virtually guaranteed to improve from her debut at Naas. However, she finished behind PERSEIDS, who is in the same ownership, and Joseph O'Brien's filly, who had the benefit of a run in a Dundalk barrier trial, can go one better. Amusement was beaten four lengths at Tipperary but didn't get the clearest of runs or would have finished much closer. Aidan O'Brien has two entries. The Camelot filly Be Happy cost 340,000gns while Snowy is a sister to three winners, two of them hurdlers. Dermot Weld's Tarawa is related to several useful winners.
