David Marnane's Karaking won well in a maiden hurdle at Wexford when last seen in August and has claims back on the flat but preference is for CHIP TEA, who gets the vote over Elusive Ridge. The last mentioned has shown improvement with each start and he has to be respected. Rural Retreat has had plenty of experience but is becoming expensive to follow being a maiden after 20 career starts under all codes. Mark Halford's Odin's Raven has shown some promise and has to be considered as does Jeunesse Doree, a stable companion of Karaking, who showed much improved form from his debut outing at Roscommon recently. Several of these have claims but it may be worth siding with Noel Meade's Chip Tea, who ran well at Dundalk two starts ago and he looks worth siding with on that evidence.
